We just finished a full home renovation with Rusch Design Build which included removing and shifting several internal walls to create a beautiful and functional kitchen, two new full bathrooms, primary bedroom, office space, tv room with a Murphy bed for guests, new stairs and railings, lovely custom cabinetry and refinished hardwood throughout.

Our renovation feels like stepping into a brand new custom home but with the midcentury bones shining through; we are thrilled with the many thoughtful details and skilled craftsmanship.

During the course of our 6 month renovation, we worked with every team member at Rusch and what a cohesive and client focused team it is. Rusch listened carefully to our wish list of design ideas and worked very hard to meet our aesthetic vision and practical goals.

We cannot say enough about the professional, collaborative, creative, client centred philosophy the entire staff holds and this level of excellence was shared with each of the 15 sub-trades Rusch brought to our project, some of whom had worked with Rusch for over 20 years.

The design work including drawings and renderings, project plan, material selection and procurement, budget management and construction project delivery all landed on time and within scope. Modifications to any expectation were met with open attitudes, ample discussion time and creative solutions from the team. They wanted us to be super happy in our new home.

The time flew by during the renovation and it was a very rare day that activity was not buzzing along at the tidy, well organized and safe project site.

We genuinely enjoyed the whole project process with Rusch and even though we now have our forever dream home, if we ever had to renovate again, we would select Rusch in a heartbeat. We had lots of fun with the team and always felt like valued clients.

We are extremely pleased with the renovation of our home done by Rusch Design. They transformed the main floor from a series of smaller rooms. hallway and a outdated kitchen to a bright and functional open space. It is the highest quality workmanship and looks amazing.

Brad’s scheduling of trades/sub-trades ran like clockwork. There were several Rusch employees and other sub-contractors involved, and all were respectful, punctual and highly skilled. There were no surprises in the process. He and his team made the process seem easy, and when the inevitable hiccups occurred they were dealt with effectively. They presented us with solutions, not problems.

Throughout this renovation process we expressed to our family and friends how pleased and impressed we were with Rusch Design, and we will continue to highly recommend them to anyone who asks about our renovation.

We started our journey by needing to replace our “poly b” and do some long overdue renovations. We interviewed builders and decided to place our trust in Rusch.

From day 1 they clearly outlined the process and met our expectations all along the way.

The design process created a main floor with a kitchen and family room beyond our wildest dreams. We worked through creative ideas with Tawnya, Oliver and Aldrin. They incorporated our ideas and we were frequently told “of course you can do that”. They brought our 1990s styled home into a modern, updated, cosy place we love.

During the construction phase we were given weekly updates by our project managers Brad and Brennan. Unexpected issues were dealt with calmly and with ongoing conversations.

The trades people were friendly, professional and treated our home with respect.

The finished product has created a home we are proud of and are excited to share with family and friends.

Rusch earned our trust and we are happy with the relationship we developed with all of them along the way.

We worked with Rusch Design to do an entire main floor remodel to our home. The remodel included everything from an entirely new and remodeled kitchen and entryway, new flooring, knock down ceilings, windows & structural changes, addition of pot lights in every room, new electrical panel and painting. Deciding to do a major home renovation is one of the biggest financial and sometimes emotional decisions that we have to make.

Choosing a contractor that you can trust and who shares in your vision is critical. After interviewing 4 or 5 different firms, we met with Oliver & Tawyna of Rusch Design and right away we knew that they were a step above everyone else.

We really liked that Rusch acted as a turnkey contractor and were able to handle everything from design, procurement and construction.

– Excellent communication. Calls and emails were always answered promptly. Brad our construction manager was on location multiple times a week and if there was ever a concern or questions it was often addressed in person.
– Excellent change management. Anything that deviated from the original contract was addressed with a detailed change order which outlined costs and any potential schedule impacts.
– The work site was kept clean which was especially important as we were living through the renovation.

The design and colour selection process was efficient, fun, and complete with drawings and renderings.

Project Manager Brad is very experienced and was transparent, proactive, responsive, and genuine. He also managed any changes quickly and properly.

The Rusch staff carpenters were prompt, clean, and very respectful. Same goes for their preferred subcontractors who were also prompt, clean, and respectful.

The whole team was on a first name basis with us (and our neighbours). We strongly recommend giving Oliver and Tawnya a shot at any project. Their projects can be seen on their videos.

We hired Rusch for a kitchen and powder room renovation.

From the earliest ice-breaking conversations to design meetings through to having Rusch employees and sub-contractors on-site, we had a professional and customer-centric experience from start to finish.

When issues arose, the team was sensitive to our concerns and solutions-focused.

Rusch Design Build completed a full renovation of our upstairs (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) in the spring of 2025.

The design and construction teams listened closely to our needs, provided excellent guidance and were spot on with recommendations and cost estimates.

From the first meeting to project completion, the designers, suppliers, trades, project managers and sub-contractors were excellent at their jobs and very respectful of us and our home.

Renovations can be disruptive but the pre-construction project timeline was a huge asset, both for ongoing communication and to help us schedule our daily lives amid the construction.

The team also worked with us when there were changes that came up and when we had an unexpected delay on our side. The project was on budget with no extra cost surprises.

Our upstairs is transformed from a space that was not functional to one that we love to be in.
